Patriots, Brady Getting Closer to Extension

Talks between the New England Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady are progressing, enough to where a deal could be completed this summer, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Schefter adds a deal is not imminent, just that talks have been positive and a deal could be completed before the start of the 2010 regular season, the final year on Brady's current contract.

Adam Caplan of FOXSports.com reports that Brady has already reported to training camp. Patriots rookies and quarterbacks were scheduled to report today, with the rest of the team not due to arrive until Wednesday.
