Denver Broncos right tackle Ryan Harris hosted his second annual football camp in St. Paul, Minnesota, which featured appearances by several of his former teammates from the University of Notre Dame.

Chip Scoggins of the Star Tribune asked the former Irish players for their thoughts on Notre Dame possibly moving to the Big Ten, and the players are not in favor of it.

"I like the independence," said Harris. "It makes us different. I prefer to stay different."

"Being independent is a part of our history," Seattle Seahawks tight end and Litchfield, Minnesota native John Carlson said. "It's something we take pride in. From that standpoint, I would like to see Notre Dame stay independent.

"Additionally, our other sports are in the Big East so that would kind of throw a wrench into some established rivalries that already exist in those other sports."
