No Deal Yet Between Bengals and Pacman Jones

Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports that despite spending much of the day negotiating on a contract, there's still no deal between the Cincinnati Bengals and free agent cornerback Adam "Pacman" Jones.

"There’s no deal until there is something signed on paper.", Tom Hunter, one of Jones' representatives, told Reedy.

A deal appears likely to happen, as the Bengals--the only team that has expressed any real interest in Jones--are unlikely to spend two days hammering out an agreement with Jones only to not reach an agreement with the former first-round pick.

Jason La Canfora expects a deal to be in place on Thursday, and for Jones to be at work in the Bengals' facility on Monday.

Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer told Bengals.com that, if Jones is signed, "I'll be on him at all times", and even commented on what sort of role Jones would have on the team. (Hint: Not a starter.)
