Cleveland Browns 24, Carolina Panthers 23

Even without his top two targets, Giants quarterback Eli Manning had one of his more efficient games of the season...Defensive ends Justin Tuck and Osi Umenyiora gave halftime speeches that turned the defense's performance around.

Jacksonville's defense kept it together until the fourth quarter...Jaguars quarterback David Garrard sprained his left wrist when he was sacked on the third-to-last play of the game.

Minnesota Vikings 17, New York Giants 13

Vikings interim head coach Leslie Frazier got a win in his head coaching debut...Vikings second-round running back Toby Gerhart shouldered the load after Adrian Peterson left the game with an ankle injury.

Redskins rookie linebacker Perry Riley's block in the back penalty negated a fourth quarter punt return for a touchdown...The Redskins hope to put together a 2007-like winning steak to make the playoffs.

Miami Dolphins 33, Oakland Raiders 17

The Dolphins got back to basics to score a convincing road win...Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne was solid in his first start since his benching.

For the second straight week, Oakland's offensive line was manhandled and the running game went nowhere...Indecision at the quarterback position is not helping the Raiders.

Kansas City Chiefs 42, Seattle Seahawks 24

Quarterback Matt Cassel was on target throughout his best day in a Chiefs' uniform...Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles passed 1,000 yards for the second consecutive season.

By fending off a late rally on the road, the Rams cleared a mental hurdle...Rams first-round quarterback Sam Bradford turned in another "A" performance.

Denver's late fourth-quarter rally fell three points short...Broncos players took the blame for the loss and defended their embattled head coach.

San Diego Chargers 36, Indianapolis Colts 14

San Diego's defense handled Peyton Manning once again...The Chargers served notice that they're picking up steam as they head down the stretch.

Colts quarterback Peyton Manning was intercepted four times in the 36-14 loss...Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney says the loss is "not the end of the world".
