Chicago Bears 27, Minnesota Vikings 13

On Sunday, Bears quarterback Jay Cutler showed the reasons why the team paid such a heavy freight to acquire him last April...Bears wide receiver/return specialist Devin Hester had 185 all-purpose yards on Sunday.

The Chiefs dropped their second straight to an AFC West opponent and head coach Todd Haley touched off a minor firestorm...Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel and wide receiver Dwayne Bowe posted big numbers in the blowout loss...

Seattle Seahawks 36, Arizona Cardinals 18

A cracked wrist couldn't keep Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck from having one his better games of the season...Seahawks linebacker Aaron Curry had a pair of quarterback sacks on Sunday.

Arizona's defense appeared disinterested in the first half, allowing nearly 300 yards of total offense...Cardinals linebacker Joey Porter had a quiet day, but led an emotional meeting at halftime, which led to an improved showing by the unit.

Dallas Cowboys 33, New York Giants 20

Jason Garrett did something Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson, and Bill Parcells couldn't do: He won his first game as Cowboys head coach...Cowboys first-round wide receiver Dez Bryant had his first 100-yard receiving game and nearly lost a diamond earring.

Giants quarterback Eli Manning committed three costly turnovers on Sunday...Giants guard Kevin Boothe disputes his holding penalty that negated a fourth quarter touchdown.

San Francisco 49ers 23, St. Louis Rams 20 (OT)

49ers quarterback Troy Smith rallied the team to a second straight win...49ers left tackle Joe Staley will miss 4-to-6 weeks with a fractured fibula.

St. Louis' defense was repeatedly burned for big plays...In losing their fifth straight game to the 49ers, the Rams blew another opportunity to get above .500 for the season.

New England Patriots 39, Pittsburgh Steelers 26

New England rebounded from a tough loss and won a game few expected them to win...Patriots second-round tight end Rob Gronkowski atoned for his poor performance last week with a three-touchdown game in primetime.

Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger had three fourth-quarter touchdown passes, but it was too little too late...Steelers wide receiver Hines Ward's 186-game receptions streak ended with a neck injury in the first quarter.
