Lions Activate CB Jack Williams Off PUP

The Detroit Lions have activated cornerback Jack Williams from the physically unable to perform list, Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Veteran defensive back Dante Wesley has been released.

A fourth-round pick (119th overall) out of Kent State by the Denver Broncos in 2008, Williams joined the Lions as a waiver claim last November. Williams tore the ACL in his left knee in his Lions debut, and was placed on the PUP list at the beginning of this year's training camp.

In 22 career games, the 5-9, 183-pound cornerback has 20 tackles and three passes defensed, with an additional seven tackles and a fumble recovery on special teams.
