Joe Browne Stepping Down as NFL's VP of Communications

National Football League Executive Vice President of Communications and Public Affairs Joe Browne is stepping down after 45 years in the league office, Daniel Kaplan of Sports Business Journal reports.

Kaplan adds that Greg Aiello is expected to replace him.

On Twitter, Browne wrote "I thk it's important in one's career that evry 45 yrs or so u change ur role. We told staff yesterday that's what i was doing. I'm staying on fulltime but now have opp to re-focus on issues, esp legislative in Wash, that r imp 2 NFL and interesting 2 me. Roger G. has been great about it, and i look forward to continuing to try to make pos difference for NFL."
