Jets Sign DT Martin Tevaseu

The New York Jets have signed free agent defensive lineman Martin Tevaseu.

According to Jenny Vrentas of The Star-Ledger, the New York Jets have signed free agent defensive lineman Martin Tevaseu.

The 6-1, 328-pound Tevaseu played two seasons at UNLV, totaling 48 tackles and a pair of quarterback sacks, and earning the team's defensive MVP award after the '09 season.

Tevaseu began his college career at Santa Rosa Junior College in 2005, and transferred to Arizona State for the 2006 season. A left leg injury ended his time with the Sun Devils, and after two seasons back at SRJC, he transferred to UNLV.

Tevaseu was signed by the Cleveland Browns after the 2010 NFL Draft, and was waived on June 15.
