Jaguars to Sign LB Eric Alexander

The Jacksonville Jaguars have agreed to terms free agent linebacker Eric Alexander, Albert Elias, Alexander's agent, announced on Twitter.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but Elias notes that it's a two-year contract.

Alexander (6-2, 240) has spent the previous six seasons with the New England Patriots, who signed him as an undrafted free agent out of LSU in 2004. In 45 games over the past six seasons, Alexander has 48 tackles, including 40 on special teams.

New England cut Alexander on September 4.
