Haynesworth Sued by Tennessee Bank

Clayton Bank & Trust is suing Washington Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth, claiming that Haynesworth defaulted on a $2.38 million dollar loan, Josh Flory of The Bank Draft blog reports.

According to Flory, the bank filed suit last week in Knox County Chancery Court, and that the loan was made in June of 2009. Haynesworth has allegedly failed to make payments in accordance with an extension agreement, and the bank is seeking over $2.4 million dollars in damages.

Haynesworth received a $5 million dollars signing bonus when he joined the Washington Redskins in March of 2009, and received a $6 million dollar base salary during the 2009 season. Earlier this off-season, Haynesworth received a $21 million dollar payment from the Redskins.
