Hall of Fame New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor is under arrest after being accused of rape in New York state, CBS2 in New York reports.

The 51-year old Taylor was arrested by Town of Ramapo (New York) police after being accused of raping an individual in the Holiday Inn Holidome Hotel in Suffern, New York.

Details of the incident are not known, but an investigation is ongoing. Police have scheduled a news conference for later this afternoon.
