Giants C Adam Koets Has Torn ACL

New York Giants center Adam Koets suffered a torn left ACL during Sunday's 41-7 win over the Seattle Seahawks, head coach Tom Coughlin announced on Monday.

With Shaun O'Hara out after suffering a "mild" Lisfranc sprain to his right foot, Koets was expected to make the start on Sunday, but considering the tough environment, Coughlin opted to start veteran guard Rich Seubert at center instead.

Koets played extensively as a blocking tight end, and given the score, ultimately replaced Seubert at center in the second half. Koets was injured after landing awkwardly on his left leg at the end of a running play. The fourth-year offensive lineman from Oregon State was seen trying to walk the injury off on the sidelines, but he did not return to the game and will be placed on injured reserve.

Veteran offensive lineman Kevin Boothe will be activated off the physically unable to perform list to fill Koets' spot on the 53-man roster.
