Fans Gobble Up Vikings-Giants Tickets

Football fans in the Detroit area have gobbled up tickets to tonight's New York Giants-Minnesota Vikings game at Ford Field.

According to Tom Pelissero of 1500 ESPN Twin Cities, fans began showing up at 5am local time to stand in line for the free ticket giveaway, with 30,000 tickets distributed before the line was cut off at 10:30am.

Anyone holding a Vikings-Giants ticket, which was originally scheduled for Sunday before it was relocated after the collapse of the Metrodome roof, will be given preferred seating for tonight's game. Fans who attended the Detroit Lions' 7-3 win over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday will also be allowed in for tonight's game.

Tickets distributed this morning are on a first-come, first-serve basis, and entry is not guaranteed if the 64,500 capacity is reached.
