Falcons Release K Steven Hauschka, TE Colin Peek

The Atlanta Falcons announced that they have released kicker Steven Hauschka and rookie tight end Colin Peek.

Rookie safety Gabe Derricks, who spent the OTAs and mini-camp with the Falcons, has been re-signed.

Hauschka was 1-for-2 on field goal attempts during the Falcons' pre-season opener, connecting from 37 yards out and coming up short on a 50-yard attempt. Hauschka converted his one extra point attempt, and kicked off three times, putting all three near the Chiefs' goal-line. Hauschka made one special teams tackle.

Peek, who played his college ball at Alabama, was not active for the pre-season opener and was released with an injury settlement (knee).
