Eagles LT Jason Peters to Have Knee Scoped

Philadelphia Eagles left tackle Jason Peters is scheduled to undergo surgery to repair torn meniscus in his left knee on Wednesday, head coach Andy Reid announced.

Peters will miss this Sunday's game against the Atlanta Falcons, and will likely be out several weeks beyond that. The Eagles travel to Tennessee in Week 7, have a bye in Week 8. Ideally, the Eagles would have Peters back after the bye, when they face the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins in back-to-back weeks.

King Dunlap will replace Peters, the team's most-penalized player this season, at left tackle.
