Eagles DT Brodrick Bunkley Needs Elbow Surgery

Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid announced on his radio show that defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley needs surgery on his elbow and may be lost for the season.

Bunkley (6-2, 306) was injured during the San Francisco 49ers' first offensive drive on Sunday night, and Reid disclosed that Bunkley suffered ligament damage.

A first-round pick (14th overall) in the 2006 NFL Draft out of Florida State, Bunkley moved into the starting lineup in 2007. Over the last 47 games, Bunkley has 127 tackles with six quarterback sacks and six passes defensed.
