Dolphins WR Brandon Marshall Out Until Training Camp

Miami Dolphins wide receiver Brandon Marshall is out until training camp after undergoing a "routine" procedure on an undisclosed body part.

Marshall was seen throwing and catching a football, which leads Dolphins' observers to believe that the procedure was done on a lower-body part, likely a hip that has been troublesome in recent seasons.

This will be the third straight off-season where Marshall will miss the "Organized Team Activity" sessions due to a surgery. Considering that Marshall has posted 100+ receptions and gone to the Pro Bowl after the 2008 and 2009 seasons, it may not be a major issue, but it's certainly disappointing to the Dolphins that their prized off-season acquisition won't get any meaningful on-field work with quarterback Chad Henne until training camp.

Dolphins wide receiver Patrick Turner, a third-round pick last season, is also recovering from an undisclosed off-season surgery that will keep sidelined until training camp. The 6-5, 221-pound Turner was a non-factor as a rookie, appearing in just two games all season.
