Dolphins Waive WR Taurus Johnson

Ken LaVicka of ESPN 760 in Miami reports that the Miami Dolphins have waived wide receiver Taurus Johnson.

Johnson joined the Dolphins' practice squad late in the 2009 season, and was signed to a "Reserve/Futures" contract in January.

The 6-0, 200-pound Johnson entered the NFL in 2009 as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida. Signed by the Kansas City Chiefs, Johnson caught two passes for 18 yards in the pre-season, and was waived at the end of training camp. Johnson pent of his rookie season on the Detroit Lions' practice squad, as well.

Johnson caught 112 passes for 1,434 yards and 12 touchdowns, scored three rushing touchdowns, and averaged 20.1 yards per kick return in college.

There's a new face at Dolphins' training camp, a cornerback wearing #41. That player is believed to be Frank Walker, who worked out for the team on Wednesday.
