Dolphins DL Tony McDaniel Suspended 1 Game

Miami Dolphins defensive lineman Tony McDaniel has been suspended one game for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

McDaniel was arrested for domestic violence in February, which was plead down to disorderly contact. McDaniel was placed on six months probation and ordered to attend counseling, but the guilty plea made him subject to league discipline.

The 6-7, 305-pound defensive end from Tennessee has three tackles in three games for the Dolphins, playing an increased role as first-round defensive end Jared Odrick is sidelined with a fractured fibula.

Acquired in March 2009 from the Jacksonville Jaguars, McDaniel is in the final year of his contract. The one-game suspension will cost McDaniel $109,118 in base salary.
