Cowboys WR Dez Bryant Pays $55K Dinner Tab

Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant wasn't aware of the rookie "hazing" ritual of carrying Roy Williams' shoulder pads early on during training camp. To make up for his transgression, Bryant took the offensive players out for dinner to a Dallas steakhouse on Monday night.

Williams decided to invite the defensive players, too, which meant Bryant's dinner tab reached nearly $55,000, Calvin Watkins of ESPNDallas.com reports.

Watkins adds that players were ordering bottles of wine to take home with them.

Bryant is earning the league minimum as a rookie, and the pre-tax sum of his three game checks is $56,471. However, Bryant did receive a $1.95 million signing bonus on July 23, and an additional $570,000 roster bonus on July 28.
