Cowboys Re-Sign G Montrae Holland

The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed veteran guard Montrae Holland, reports Todd Archer of the Dallas Morning News.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the contract length is two years.

Drafted in the fourth-round (102nd overall) out of Florida State by the New Orleans Saints in 2003, Holland started 30 games for the Saints in his first three seasons in the NFL before playing a back-up role in 2006. Signed as a free agent by the Denver Broncos in 2007, Holland started all 16 games his first year with the Broncos, and earned a 2-year, $5 million dollar contract extension the following off-season.

The Broncos traded Holland to the Cowboys for a fifth-round pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, and the 6-2, 322-pound Holland appeared in 7 games over the last two seasons, making three starts in 2008.

The fifth-round pick the Broncos received from the Cowboys was traded to New England, who traded it to Oakland, who traded it to Jacksonville, who traded it to New Orleans, who used it on Boston College center Matt Tennant.
