Cowboys DE Stephen Bowen Signs RFA Tender

Dallas Cowboys restricted free agent defensive end Stephen Bowen has signed his one-year tender.

The former undrafted free agent from Hofstra was tendered at the second-round level, and will receive a base salary of $1.759 million dollars for 2010, an increase over the $1.545 million dollars he made in 2009, which was also played under a one-year, restricted free agent tender.

After spending the first half of his rookie season on the Cowboy's practice squad, Bowen was signed to the Cowboys' active roster in November of 2006. He's appeared in 47 games since, including two starts in 2009, and has 50 tackles, including 4 quarterback sacks.

Bowen primarily backs up starter Igor Olshansky on the right-side of the Cowboys' three-man defensive line.
