The San Diego Chargers announced that they have signed rookie free agent offensive lineman Lee Grimes.

Grimes (6-6, 312) was a two-year starter at Texas A&M, playing both guard and right tackle. Grimes was named second-team All-Big 12 after his senior season.

Signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in May, Grimes was released when second-round defensive tackle Brian Price signed his contract on July 20.
