Chargers Avoid Local TV Blackout

The San Diego Chargers have sold enough tickets for Thursday night's game against the San Francisco 49ers to lift a local television blackout, the team announced on Tuesday.

Entering this week, narly 3,000 tickets needed to be sold by Monday at 5:30pm PT to have the blackout lifted. San Diego received a 24-hour extension from the NFL on Monday.

Thursday night is the regular season home finale for the Chargers, who have had three of their home games blacked out locally.
