Cardinals WR Ed Gant Suspended 4 Games

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Ed Gant has been suspended four games by the National Football League for violating the league's policy against performance-enhancing substances.

Gant, an undrafted free agent out of North Alabama in 2009 who spent his entire rookie season on the practice squad, will be able to participate in training camp and the pre-season, but once the regular season starts, he won't be allowed in the team's facility.

In four pre-season games last summer, the 6-1, 192-pound Gant caught three passes for 42 yards and was credited with one special teams tackle. With five rookies vying for roster spots at wide receiver, Gant could find himself on the waiver wire when it's time to cut down to the final 53 in early September.
