Cardinals G Deuce Lutui Signs RFA Tender

Kent Somers of The Arizona Republic reports Arizona Cardinals restricted free agent guard Deuce Lutui has signed his one-year tender.

Lutui, who recently changed agents, was expected to sign his tender today. Not doing so would have cost him $1,170,500 in base salary this season.

Since being chosen in the second-round (41st overall) of the 2006 NFL Draft out of USC, Lutui has started 56 of 62 career regular season games, and all six of the Cardinals' playoff games the last two seasons. Arizona signed veteran guards Alan Faneca and Rex Hadnot this off-season, and Lutui is expected to compete with Hadnot and Reggie Wells for the team's starting right guard job.
