Buccaneers WR Mario Urrutia Arrested for Driver's License Violation

Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mario Urrutia has been arrested for a misdemeanor driver's license violation in Florida, Stephen Holder of the St. Petersburg Times reports.

The 24-year old receiver from Louisville was taken into custody shortly after 10pm on Sunday night, and was released after posting $500 bond early Monday morning. Holder reports that Urrutia was present for the Buccaneers' Organized Team Activity session on Monday.

Urrutia entered the NFL in 2008 as an undrafted free agent with the Cincinnati Bengals. Urrutia caught a pair of passes for 27 yards in the '08 pre-season, and spent his entire first season on the Bengals' practice squad.

Waived last June after the Bengals signed a pair of 2009 NFL Draft choices, Urrutia was claimed by the New York Jets.

The Jets waived Urrutia in the first week of training camp, and he was signed by the Buccaneers. Urrutia caught 7 passes for 85 yards for the Bucs during the pre-season and spent most of the 2009 season on their practice squad.

Urrutia's infraction is so minor is likely will have no impact on his status with the Buccaneers, where he's already near the bottom of a 12-man wide receiver depth chart.
