Browns Sign WR Taurus Johnson

Free agent wide receiver Taurus Johnson has agreed to terms with the Cleveland Browns, David Canter, Johnson's agent, announced on Twitter.

An undrafted free agent out of South Florida in 2009, Johnson was signed by the Kansas City Chiefs, catching two passes for 18 yards in the pre-season. Waived at the end of training camp, Johnson pent of his rookie season on the Detroit Lions' practice squad before joining the Miami Dolphins practice squad late in the 2009 season.

Johnson signed a "Reserve/Futures" contract in January, but was waived last week.

Johnson caught 112 passes for 1,434 yards and 12 touchdowns, scored three rushing touchdowns, and averaged 20.1 yards per kick return in college.

The Browns will need to make a corresponding roster move to add Johnson.
