Browns Sign RB Martell Mallett to Practice Squad

Free agent running back Martell Mallett has been signed to the Cleveland Browns practice squad.

Signed by the Philadelphia Eagles as an undrafted free agent out of Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Mallett ran for 97 yards and a touchdown during the pre-season. Mallett added three receptions for 18 yards, returned one kick for 15 yards, and added a pair of special teams tackles before being waived on September 4.

Mallett spent the first three weeks of the season on the Eagles' practice squad before he was released along with safety Chip Vaughn last Tuesday. Their spots on the eight-man squad were filled by safety Jamar Adams and wide receiver Rod Harper.

The Browns have deleted cornerback DeAndre Wright from their practice squad.
