The Cleveland Browns announced that they have re-signed guard Billy Yates, and waived back-up linebacker Titus Brown.

A longtime member of the New England Patriots, Yates (6-2, 305) appeared in seven games for the Browns in 2009, his first season with the team. Yates was released by the Browns on September 6 after center/guard Steve Vallos was acquired off waivers from the Seattle Seahawks.

The Browns have re-signed Yates to add depth to the interior offensive line after third-round guard Shawn Lauvao tweaked an ankle that will keep him out of today's practice, reports Tony Grossi of the Cleveland Plain-Dealer.
