Browns RB Montario Hardesty to Miss Couple of Weeks

Cleveland Browns head coach Eric Mangini announced that second round running back Montario Hardesty twisted his knee and may miss a couple of weeks.

During his college career, Hardesty tore his ACL as a freshman, and has undergone three procedures on his knee. That injury, as well as other leg and ankle injuries, prevented Hardesty from becoming a starter at the University of Tennessee until his senior season.

Mangini said the latest injury is unrelated to his knee issues in college.

Hardesty, who signed a four-year, $3.372 million dollar contract last week, was expected to push Jerome Harrison for carries this summer.
