The Cleveland Browns announced that linebacker Scott Fujita and cornerback Eric Wright have been placed on injured reserve.
A second-round pick (53rd overall) out of UNLV in 2007, Wright has started 55 of his 59 career games totaling 249 tackles, 1 quarterback, and nine interceptions, returning one 94 yards for a touchdown.
Wright will be a free agent in the off-season.
After helping the New Orleans Saints to their first Super Bowl in in franchise history, Fujita signed a three-year, $14 million contract with the Browns last March. Fujita posted 51 tackles, 3.5 quarterback sacks, and an interception in nine games.
Fujita missed the last five weeks with a knee injury.
To replace Fujita and Wright on the 53-man roster, the Browns have signed nose tackle Travis Ivey off the practice squad. Linebacker Steve Octavien, a free agent most recently with the Dallas Cowboys, has also been signed to the active roster.
