Browns Claim S Sabby Piscitelli Off Waivers

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports the Cleveland Browns have claimed safety Sabby Piscitelli off waivers from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

A second-round pick (64th overall) out of Oregon State by the Buccaneers in 2007, Piscitelli (6-3, 224) has 150 tackles and 5 interceptions during a 45-game stint with the Buccaneers that included 20 starts.

The Buccaneers waived Piscitelli on Tuesday as part of a 10-player roster shuffle that included the signing of rookie safety Larry Asante off the Browns' practice squad.

Cleveland will need to make a corresponding transaction to add Piscitelli to the 53-man roster.

It would be interesting to note if Green Bay put in a waiver claim for him. Apparently he was a good ST player.
