Broncos Sign 2nd Round OL Zane Beadles

Denver Broncos second-round offensive lineman Zane Beadles has reached "a verbal agreement" on a contract, FOX 31's Josina Anderson reports.

Anderson adds that Beadles deal is worth $4.2 million dollars.

The 6-5, 310-pound Beadles started 50 of his 51 games at the University of Utah, twice earning first-team All-Mountain West Conference honors. After starting 12 games at left guard as a freshman, Beadles kicked outside and started his final 38 games at left tackle, picking up several national All-American honors as a senior.

Beadle is expected to start immediately, but his ultimate position with the Broncos has yet to be determined. Beadle played tackle and guard during the Broncos’ OTAs and mini-camps, and where he plays this season is likely to be determined by the status of Ryan Clady’s knee. If Clady is healthy, expect Beadle to start at left guard

Once Beadles signs, the Broncos can turn their full attention to unsigned first-round picks Demaryius Thomas and Tim Tebow.
