Broncos Officially Sign RB Justin Fargas

The Denver Broncos have officially signed running back Justin Fargas, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.

Fargas flew to Denver on Tuesday to take a physical and finalize a contract.

A third-round pick out of USC by the Oakland Raiders in 2003, Fargas has rushed for 3,369 yards and 10 touchdowns, with 77 receptions and 523 yards as a receiver out of the backfield. The Raiders cited a failed physical for releasing the 30-year old Fargas in March.

Denver is thin at the running back position with Knowshon Moreno and Correll Buckhalter sidelined with injuries. The Broncos signed LenDale White last week, but the rest of the backfield consists of inexperienced runners Bruce Hall, Lance Ball, and Toney Baker.
