Broncos LB Elvis Dumervil Leaves Practice With Upper Body Injury

Denver Broncos Pro Bowl linebacker Elvis Dumervil left tonight's practice early with an upper body injury, Lindsay Jones of the Denver Post reports.

According to Jones, Dumveril was participating in a one-on-one pass-rushing drill with offensive linemen when he was injured. As Dumervil exited the practice field with a trainer, he was seen holding his right arm close to his chest.

The reigning NFL leader in quarterback sacks, Dumervil signed a six-year, $61.5 million contract on July 22, which included over $43 million in guarantees.

2007 first-round pick Jarvis Moss has rededicated himself to football, shining in the team's off-season program and pushing for playing time at linebacker. An injury to Dumervil is not how Don Martindale wanted to get Moss onto the field.
