The Buffalo Bills announced that they have reached an injury settlement with linebacker Kawika Mitchell.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reported that Mitchell had made the request, and that an agreement was likely to be reached on Friday.

Mitchell was placed on injured reserve on September 10 with a foot injury. Once healthy, he will be free to sign with another team.

Mitchell turns 31 next Sunday.
