Bill Cowher Impressed With Buccaneers, Josh Freeman

Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach and current CBS analyst Bill Cowher visited the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and is impressed with quarterback Josh Freeman, Rick Stroud of the St. Petersburg Times reports.

"I'm really impressed with Josh Freeman. I mean, the guy hasn't missed a day in the off-season," Cowher said. "He's been here and he's been in here trying to work at it...he's got all the physical tools. It's just going to take experience and that's a lot of things Ben (Roethlisberger) took, too."

Cowher likes the approach the franchise is taking to the re-building process.

"How they finished last year, winning two of their last three games. Josh (Freeman) is obviously much more comfortable in this offense and I think defensively, they're excited about doing some new things, but getting back to some old things as well," Cowher said. "So, I think it's a young football team -- again, I like what I see. There's going to be some growing pains. But I think what you're seeing is a team headed in the right direction."
