Bengals to Sign S Rico Murray Off Practice Squad

Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis announced that safety Rico Murray will be signed off the team's practice squad, reports Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

The Bengals have an open spot on their 53-man roster.

Murray (5-11, 202) has been with the Bengals since signing as an undrafted free agent out of Kent State in 2009. Murray made one tackle in four games on the active roster during the 2009 season, and was active for the Bengals' Wild Card Playoff loss to the New York Jets.

Murray posted 15 tackles with a pass defensed during the 2010 pre-season, but was placed on waivers and re-signed to the practice squad.

Bengals defensive backs Jonathan Joseph, Leon Hall, Chinedum Ndukwe, Morgan Trent, and Roy Williams have either been limited or non-participants during this week's preparations for Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins.
