Bengals OT Andre Smith Out Until Training Camp

Cincinnati Bengals offensive tackle Andre Smith has still not been medically cleared to return to the football field, and will be out until training camp, Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

Smith will miss a total of six days' worth of on-field workouts: 3 OTA sessions, plus a three-day mini-camp from June 15-17.

The sixth overall pick in the 2009 NFL Draft, Smith broke his left foot shortly after signing with the Bengals after a nearly month-long holdout during training camp. The holdout, as well as his injury, kept Smith from making an impact in his rookie year. The 6-4, 335-pound tackle dressed for just six games last season, making one start at right tackle in the Bengals' 30-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 14.

Smith underwent a clean-up procedure on the foot in February, which was expected to keep him sidelined for 10 weeks.

That was sixteen weeks ago.
