49ers Sign CB Tramaine Brock Off Practice Squad

Before facing Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints on Monday Night Football, the San Francisco 49ers signed cornerback Tramaine Brock off the practice squad, reports Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network.

Linebacker Diyral Briggs has been waived.

Brock (5-10, 197) was on the active roster to start the regular season, but was waived on September 14 when the 49ers re-signed wide receiver Jason Hill. Brock was signed to the practice squad on September 15.

49ers cornerback William James (ankle) was listed as "Doubtful", and rookie cornerback Phillip Adams (hamstring) as "Questionable" on the 49ers' final injury report of the week. Signing Brock may be a sign that neither James nor Adams will be active tonight against the Saints.
