Been a fan since I was 6 watching Bart Starr go in for a game winning touchdown on the quarterback bootleg past Dick Butkus and the Bears on the final play of the game. Would watch all the games on WISC-TV out of Madison. I was in Rockford with my mom every Sunday in Rockford, Illinois playing with the antennae, trying to get the game in, usually watching it through the fuzz. Been to about six and have been to training camp numerous times. Met Mr. Starr twice. He was my first sports hero.
Four years ago, rode a bike up to Green Bay from Rockford for the beginning of training camp which is a special time to be in Green Bay. I'm a songwriter, and, on the way, at about three in the morning as I drew closer to Green Bay I wrote a song entitled "Welcome to Titletown!" which I hand delivered to President Murphy. Just recently had someone record it and put a slide/video presentation to it. Sort of captures the whole history and tradition of the team. Hopefully, it will be well received and appreciated by those who watch and listen to it.
On today's show, Andy completes his deep dive of 6th round offensive linemen Travis Glover and reviews his biggest strengths, weaknesses, and overall Packers fit. Enjoy!
