Week 18 TV Coverage Map for Packers-Bears

In the 208th installment of the Packers-Bears rivalry, a playoff appearance is on the line for the Packers.

It is simple, ladies and gentlemen: win, and the Green Bay Packers (8-8) will clinch a playoff berth after starting the season with a 3-6 record. Standing in their way is their bitter rival, the Chicago Bears (7-9), who were eliminated from playoff contention last week. Head coach Matt LaFleur’s squad will attempt to right the wrong from last year when Green Bay laid an egg at home against the Detroit Lions in Week 18 on Sunday Night Football in a win-and-they’re-in contest. LaFleur is 9-0 against the Bears since taking over at the helm in 2019, per the Dope Sheet

Kickoff is slated for 3:25 P.M. CST and will be broadcast on CBS. The network will have its A-squad in the booth for the 208th meeting between the Packers and Bears as Jim Nantz will serve as the play-by-play announcer and Tony Romo will serve as the color analyst. Given the high stakes, most of the country will have the fortune of tuning into the national broadcast. The Green Bay-Chicago game is in red below. You can check out the full schedule here.

While the Bears struggled mightily to start the season and were on pace to own two of the top selections in the 2024 NFL Draft (they own the Carolina Panthers’ first-round pick), the team has turned it on as of late, particularly on the defensive side of the ball. They are 5-2 over their last seven contests, which includes blown leads in the fourth quarter against the Lions in Week 11 and against the Cleveland Browns in Week 15. During that stretch, Chicago allowed an average of 17.1 points per game and generated 16 interceptions. It has also been the best defense in the NFL since Week 11 in terms of Expected Points Added (EPA) per play.

Make sure to check out CHTV for coverage in the days leading up to the Week 18 battle on the gridiron as the Packers look to make the playoffs for the fourth time in five years.

The Packers need to play as if they will be done for the season if they lose the game, because they will be done for the season if they lose the game. We don't like the Bears and the Bears don't like us. It's almost like being in a fight with the biggest jerk you have ever known and it's time to let him have it. A win will be exhilarating while a loss will be like a punch in the teeth. How about a little exhilaration Sunday! Leave nothing on the field.

I'm with you Ferrari, leave Nothing on the field!
Let's hope LaFleur has improved on his pre-game speeches since last year's fiasco against Detroit.
Laying another egg would be a disaster.

Love it, the map shows I can enjoy this game from the comfort of home and avoid the crowded Santa Cruz sports bars. The brats will be on the grill early!
As much as I hate to admit it, I'd love to see the Packers jump out to a big lead, and then fall on their heads to allow Da Bears back into the game.
Of course I want then to win, and I will be cheering my ass off for that, but cementing the ouster of Joe Barry is paramount to a successful 2024 season and beyond.

My issue is that I have to babysit the grandchildren on sunday so I will not have time to watch the game as closely as I would like. I will have it on but I will record it too.

If you raised your children and help raise the grandkids correctly, they'll be sitting next to you watching every play.

That's how I was raised and all that followed.

I hope to hear bear down a lot. Not bad injuries just out the game injuries. Yes this is a joke. I just do not like the "Bear Down" saying.

Well, good! I'd thought this game was an NFL Network/YouTube TV-only streaming money grab, but, there it is flying trough the air for free like the olden days on CBS. I'm happy even if we won't have Brent, Phyllis, Irv, and Jimmy the Greek at the desk, and I still cast a pox upon the greedy NFL.

Beat the Bears.

Packers need to know by now that they will not be playing the Vikings who are probably the worst team in the league without a QB. My fear is they will underestimate the Bears. Bears are dramatically improved on both offense and defense. Good luck Pack . You will need it .
