The Good: A Packers victory on Christmas day and still alive for a playoff birthday

The Bad: What was that fake punt thing deep in our own territory?

The Ugly: Injuries. We won despite playing with 2 Backup O-Tackles and 2 best play makers getting hur ( Watson and Nixon).

Merry Christmas everyone

The Good: The Victory, defense second half.
The Bad: Aaron Rodgers
The Ugly: MLF play calling, especially in the red zone.

I agree with your bad totally. Yes, Packers fans continue to shit on Rodgers as the next comment says because he earned that. Let's put aside the two championship games lost because of Rodgers (and don't tell me the last one was because of the defense and the ST. It was because Rodgers could not keep his offense on the field). He's been playing for 18 years and he still has not learned how to throw the ball away and avoid a sack. Instead of throwing the ball five years for the first down he chooses to throw it downfield ten yards over his receivers' heads. I've will never stop saying that he is the most "talented" QB ever, but one of the stupidest. He snaps the ball with no time on the clock giving the d-line an oppotunity to get a jump on him. The Packers win in spite of him, not because of him. Should have sent him to Denver two years ago. Let's send him to the Jets next year. And take Bahk too.

The good - Tua throwing the ball to us. The offense working downfield until the red zone. The defense actually catching the passes thrown towards them.
The bad - the defense in the first half - the play calling in the redzone. the special teams fake punt.
The ugly - the people continuing to shit on AR - even though he played pretty well and even ran the ball at times to the chagrin of people calling him old and immobile ( go watch Denver's Wilson's play and he is getting a kings ransom to do what he is doing).

Finally I wanted us to lose so we could see Love against Minnie - but we know the Cousins likes to throw the ball to us to - and we might beat them if Barry can find somebody to cover Jefferson

don't you know this is the site for the Cult of Hate for Rodgers...how come no one says about the dropped passes, the missed blocks by the O line, etc, but no its always on Rodgers...he'll retire soon and then this cult can move on to someone else..probably turn on Love if he is even around then...its getting sort of ridiculous...there aren't that many that really post on here so the cult is sort of small....Cheesehead TV and its drunken "PodCash" leader..haha..much like Trumps Truth Social or what ever its called...even in Packer wins these clowns can't enjoy the game...

I don’t consider myself a cultist and I respect QB12 for his 18 years as a packer. However, I am firmly in the camp that for the good of the team and let me reemphasize that part, for the good of the team, it is time to move on. The window shut. This team is not winning the Super Bowl and the playoff appearance is not even certain. What is certain is thatQB12 takes up an enormous amount of cap space and handcuffs the organization in the quest for a Lombardi. QB12 is a first ballot HOFer which do not grow on trees but he is not imho a HOF leader. It is time to accept that reality and move on. Doing so will save the organization the ignominy of the 70s and the recent Bears and Lions failures.

There is a big difference between posting negative things everytime something negative happens on the field or if he misses some passes than realizing that he may be getting slowly past his prime. I believe that some of this season bad results is because of his poorer play - and I would like to see Love get some meaningful snaps. But right now he gives us our best chance this year to move on - I was hoping for a loss and I posted that earlier - but it is because I want us to see Love play in an NFL game - not preseason - not mop up - not in a nothing game ( ie Detroit last game last year). I also posted that I think that it would be best if we could trade AR straight up for his salary to LV - but I dont spend/waste my time dumping on him. So maybe you are not a hater cultists but if you are posting all the times dumping on AR on this site you are. Put things in perspective - and what would you call Denver's situation or Ben's situation last year - and there is no sane person would say that AR's skills have deteriorated that much.

You can't argue trade him. When you slam him for his play. He's leading this Offense.
1. When did ACR ever have to do a QB sneak?
2. Dillion's Fumble. That was on Dillion!
3. Pushing Lazard to get the INT.
4. He's 39. Yet, he's still dealing with rookies on the OL. And the rookie WRs ups and downs.
5. Trade Love.
6. Lazards Drop. Lazard is not D. Adams. In Fact he's just not #1 material.

Blanda started one game at QB in his last nine seasons. Unless Rodgers is going start kicking like Blanda (maybe even with a square-toed shoe!), I'd say odds are against him playing 26 seasons.

You really want Rodgers, who has already been in the league 18 seasons, to play another 8 seasons and send a young, talented QB we've developed for the last 3 years out of town on a trade?

You, my friend, are completely out of touch with reality.

"4. He's 39. Yet, he's still dealing with rookies on the OL. And the rookie WRs ups and downs."

Each time the team chose to pay him, they also chose a path that out of necessity includes a lot of rookie contracts and journeyman players.

".how come no one says about the dropped passes, the missed blocks by the O line, etc, but no its always on Rodgers"

Rodgers is the only one who has as muched as announced that he is not only a great QB, but also smarter than the GM and the coach.

Rodgers is the one who had to be the $50 million dollar man. But insisted on only putting in the mandatory practice time, despite the fact that he expects rookies to fully understand what they should be doing.

Rodgers is the one who, for many earlier games, looked like he would've rather been anywhere else, and so of course played badly.

So, yes, Rodgers bears a lot of the blame.

Drops decrease with accuracy and placement as well as WR skill/experience. No WR catches everything. So while that is true it also is an empty truism.

Let's be fair. The Rodger's hate was not shared by the fans at the game. Many cheered Rodgers' as he left the field. Of which he gave several high fives to some.
It appears; if Rodgers doesn't throw darts. He's washed up.
I feel sorry for you haters that didn't see a great effort. You'll never be happy.

You felt the same about Favre, who was not truly washed up at that point either. It was still the right decision.

Rodgers can be other than the main cause without being part of the solution. That’s not hate. It wasn’t hate for most with Favre. He’s still the QB I most enjoyed watching even though Rodgers proved probably better in terms of all around play. However, this wasn’t about the player then and isn’t now, it’s about what’s best for the future in light of the big picture (roster, cap, timelines). The past we can’t change.

If we could, I’d focus on Murphy and LaFleur not happening and maybe Rodgers would have had the extra rings he should have and deserved with the rosters we had and coaching and mentality around him. The Packers failed Rodgers starting with what Murphy let Ball do to the rosters as TT declined. I have no doubt of that, but that’s past and can’t be undone.

All that can be done is to put us in the best position possible going forward. Rodgers new deal was a massive step away from reality and in the wrong direction and the last 3 games do t change that. His best move would be to play with a team like the Jets or even the Dolphins (if they can add some D). He might thrive in that type of environment in the short term. Here he’s just cover for poor coaching and, as such, an impediment to the real issues being faced and resolved: cap and leadership.

The Rodgers hate motif is a shallow one and like most such just a misleading trope in most cases in lieu of a sustainable argument. Few here hate Rodgers. Many here don’t believe that he can be part of a viable solution in the circumstances the franchise has created. He wasn’t great yesterday. He was mediocre in a game won on takeaways. Yet I see the victory ascribed to his great play regardless of factual support. That’s just as empty a vessel as saying he’s at solely fault for the season. The answer is somewhat in between and much more complex.

Coldworld, this hits all the right notes and nuance with the Rodgers situation, and I agree with all of it.

However, in 2022, Eliminate all the tangible analytical reasons to move on from Rodgers (of which there are many), and I still hate the guy. He's a POS and I can't wait for the Packers to move on to an era where we might be led by a man who is more representative of the values the GBP are supposed to represent.

Follow the Philly model, putting Darius Slay on Jefferson and the safeties have to be sound with tackling. Osborne is a guy to keep an eye on and Cousins is going to Hockenson lately.

I'm fine with Jaire going one on one with the other team's best receiver, but I hope we don't see him "tackling air" like the play where the TD could of been stopped by Alexander just stopping in front of (his man). WTF was that? I ran the play back three times and Alexander missed by what looked like a yard! Gave me visions of late play by Clay when he "whiffed" more often than not. Jaire redeemed himself with the interception, but on the TD play he hardly looked like a Pro Bowler. :)

Ugly...injuries. I hope to see Nijman, Watson and Nixon ready for the Vikes.

The Good: A win, a must-win win, on the road against a team over .500. Rare. A 93 yard kick return that results in 3 points. Much rarer. A second half shutout.

The Bad: The gash plays in the first half, the return penalty that had us starting near our own endzone, the injury to the returner, Nixon. But hey, that 93 yarder that we get once every several years makes t hat all worth it, I guess. Especially when we get 3 points out of it.

The Ugly: We pass too much. Too damn much. And the fans who want to give up in the 2nd quarter....these are ugly people.

Of course it’s the goal every year to win the SB. Here’s what you don’t get. Have you ever been a fan of a bad team? I was born in Green Bay in 1957. So I am always going to be a Packer fan. But I’ve been a fan of other sports or college teams that were just bad. It’s hard! And possibly you didn’t live through the 70’s and 80’s. Sooo many fan bases and owners would KILL for the success rate we’ve had the last 30 years? I’m with everyone on the frustration of not getting more Lombardi’s. But I won’t indulge in the blame game and won’t look back at “what if” or start saying someone should be fired. I love to love the GBP. Not gonna hate

Rodgers will start till we are out of it. Whether that’s good or bad from a perspective of future hindsight will depend on if we really are going to contend if we make it and what happens s thereafter. Unless we actually make a run to the Super Bowl and win, a very remote possibility, we just make the future very much harder to navigate in a number of ways I suspect.

To me that starts with excuses to roll out LaFleur and Barry once more and further extend this farce while we incur longer and deeper cap hell with worse picks and no change to the leadership. Is that a win? Not for me. Perhaps I’m not enough of a long odds gambler.

Perhaps Barry and LaFleur are just unappreciated geniuses and can lead us to win in Scottsdale behind the MVP Murphy predicted Rodgers would be this season before extending him. It’s funny though, writing it out just makes it feel more ludicrous than beforehand.

No- It's easier than you think. Every win puts us 20-25 . No starting defensive player will be there.
Rodgers is the QB. - He needs weapons. If the Fastest guy is a wr. He should be taken.
The Defense needs speed. - They won't offer Amos over 5 mil. a year. 2 safeties later work.
Trading Love opens the TE door. The packers are linked to Mayer , But Kincaid is the best TE. Take both? .

G: The second-half D as a whole.
B: The fake punt? What was that, exactly?
U: All the piling on Rodgers. As I wrote on Gut Reactions:

I'm also mystified that Rodgers is getting criticized. For what, exactly? Yes, he overthrew Watson on that 4th-and-2? That happens. It looked to be the right read and he overthrew it. Perhaps, on the very first drive, he took a bad sack, and they had to settle for a field goal....but was a TD a sure thing there?

Oh, if you want to criticize him for an INT, go ahead. But it was 4th and long, and outside of blocking, Lazard is simply not a good receiver. It looked like two plays in a row -- first on Doubs (who has promise, but he's a borderline NFL WR at this time) and then on Lazard - where defensive PI was not called. Sure, put those on Rodgers. He also made lots of excellent throws, and also bought time well several times. Switch QBs today and Miami wins by 10 or so.

What else do you want to criticize him for? I hear everyone say "hero ball"?! Do you get paid to write this? Was his QB sneak "hero ball"? (I'm sure he was trying to pad his rushing totals.) Were his scrambles "hero ball?" I saw a guy...yes, with a bad throw or two, he's human...but that wasn't a bad INT...trying to win a game. I know that with this stellar O-line and such weapons as Lazard, Big Dog, Cobb, Tonyan and Doubs that they should have put up 35, 40 points.

The Good- ACR - He sparked this offense, with that QB sneak, the defense in The Second 1/2
The Bad- The Defense in the first 1/2= 200 + yards
The Ugly- Don't mind letting the players play. But the Pass interception calls; were No calls. I counted 4 for Miami.
The failed fake punt, did more to help the defense, by shrinking the field.
The stop gave Confidence to everyone. But in truth, maybe it was because Lowrey went out.

The good: this was the most crisp the passing game had been all season. The timing on the routes over the middle were great. The ball came out on time and the only time the offense was out of sync was when WR couldn’t gain separation.

The bad: Refs not knowing what the F*#k P.I. Looks like. Apparently you are now allowed to hug the receiver as long as it’s only one arm and ass out hugs. So the int was a solid rooting interest for those idiots that somehow think a guy wins MVP in the nfl in 2020 and 2021 only to somehow regress to an inaccurate passer. (Although scientists world wide would see that as an anomaly, most likely impacted by outside stimuli, to summarize you all are basically the equivalent to the flat earthers that believe the earth is flat. How else would you describe a bunch of idiots incapable of taking their subjective feelings out of an equation when determining an objective conclusion? How can I prove this?? Just look at the thumbs down votes I receive simply because I stated information and called out people who place too much credence into ‘well I saw Rodgers during an interview and he was mean. He’s also not vaxxed’ which is what defines a subjective opinion.)

But I digress. The ugly is a combination or tie. Red zone offensive playcalling and converting third downs. Generally speaking teams don’t win going 2-14 on third down it’s as simple as that. I’m still not sure how they pulled this one out of their ass going 2-14. With the offensive play calling in the red zone this has been a thorn in the side literally the entire season going back to week 1 where they had two red zone possessions where they turned it over on downs. Simply put if the team is going to go for every single short yardage 4th down inside the red zone then adjust the play calling to reflect four offensive downs instead of 3. If this team was able to finish in the red zone better than they have this season I fully believe this team becomes a contender. Maybe not contender but it’s a different season. They’ve been awful in the red zone. I actually think they almost need to have more 5 wide sets to create mismatches instead of two tight end sets and condensing the offensive playcalling. Other than that I’m sure not being able to run the ball well with 40% of the line injured really helps all that much. You saw today how the lanes open up when a team sells out to stop the run. The packers just haven’t been able to make teams pay for that type of Defensive play calling much this year.

The ugliest: most of your mothers. Merry Christmas

I don’t know what you were watching, but your passing game comments bear no relation to what I saw. In reality, our O, which in the first half barely used the run, again left a huge amount of points unconverted against a pretty poor D despite good starting positions. We were very poor in the red zone and on third downs yet again.

The good news was that the passing game was as sharp as it has been all season. The timing on the paths through the center was excellent. The ball was delivered on time, and the only time the offense was out of rhythm was when the wide receiver couldn't get separation.

The Good: Lazard, Watson, (had 6 receptions before he was injured) Rodgers (completed passes to 10 different receivers in this game) Clark, Reed, Alexander, Campbell, Douglas and Nixon until injured. 2nd half defense. 3 interceptions carries the day for the Packers.

The Bad: Allowing easy TDs in the first half, dropped passes and penalties.

The Ugly: Fake punt, injuries to Watson, Nixon and Nijman.

Staying alive, staying alive! 2 home games left and we still have a chance. "It's not over 'til it's over," Go Pack Go! Thanks, Since '61

The Good: 4 turnovers, 3 INTS and Jarren Reed's strip and fumble recovery. Preston, Kenny Clark pressuring Tua all game long. Watson and Doubs on the field together. Big Dog with a TD and a nice catch, downfield. Nixon as our KR. A HUGE WIN, for the Packers, keeping our playoff hopes alive! Our Defense not giving up a single point in the second half. Mason Crosby, gets the record and is MONEY!
The Bad: ARod's passing was off, on several passes. ARod taking a sack while Cobb was wide open, downfield. Injuries to Nijman, Nixon and Watson. Hopefully all injuries are minor. Newman playing in place of Nijman and allowing a sack on Rodgers and then two penalties, backing us up. Our Red Zone offense needs work.
The Ugly: The fake punt from around our 20. If it worked we'd be thinking this was a great call. However, it did not work.

Never surrender field position! Maybe a fake punt, in the fourth quarter from mid-field could possibly workout, but doubtful. It seemed like Vegas was pushing some buttons.

Good-My boy Zach Tom. Another 4th round gem by the front office.
Bad-Rasul Douglas. Sorry not sorry. He got burned big time today. No bueno.
Ugly-Watson’s injuries. Not his fault but cannot have a potential number one WR getting injured this often. Gotta keep this kid healthy. Facts. Out. GPG! 👍👊🏈

The Good:. The play of Davonte Wyatt whose motor was running, the run stuffing of Slaton, return to form of Clark and improvement in Reed. But it was the insertion of Wyatt. This freed up the backers and let everybody in the secondary go on a feeding frenzy..also Dillon's continued resurgence which began with the Eagles game....Aaron finally starting to make use of his legs.... Nixon, Nixon, Nixon and his lovely first lady Pat. Lazards block picking up the difficult spare.

The way tua stuffed the stockings by the chimney.

oh, yeah me dancing, hooting and hollering at the Stadium View.

The Bsd:. The way we stumble out of the gate offensively as if we don't know exactly how we want to attack the opposition. The pieces are there but they have yet to be integrated within a cohesive game plan. Everything good about the defense in the second half was bad in the first half. A tale of two half's. To half and to half not. The injuries, but me thinks we be 👍.

( My above failed attempts at literary references)

The Ugly: the first fake punt we've run in forever. The referees missing pass interference calls.

Me not getting the Hot Wheels I asked for form Santa.
