Where was the Pass Rush? Chargers OL missing some starters and the Packers D had trouble getting to Rivers! What Gives?

SD had a great game plan. Lots of short passes, no chance for pass rush to get home, Rivers got rid of the ball too fast. Basically didn't run and little down field. D had to be gassed, but they made the play when they needed.

Right on Dan. SD had a great game plan and executed perfectly.

Spot on Dan. Even when a free blitzer was totally untouched the ball would just be gone before they got to Rivers. The problem was that there was always open people in the flat for those quick passes. An aggressive wide open game plan really left the packer defense looking unprepared.

Maybe the Packer coaches can take note and try that sort of game plan themselves. Specially when on the road.

Any given Sunday. I wasn't impressed with GB's o-line again today. Raji was missed. Janis made some big plays. Nice block at the end of Stark's run, almost blocked a punt, and 2 huge catches. Man this is the biggest, best time for a Buy I can remember.

Personally I think those short crossing routes and semi picks are hard to defend, particularly for rookies. Still, I was reasonably confident at the end that the D would make a stop, and it has been a while since I felt that way.

I am surprised that Shields had as many issues as he did, but if he actually intercepts those two passes and makes the QB pay, he has a very good night. Looks like Shields made the right decision to be a CB rather than a WR.
