Packers promote pair of scouts in front office

-- Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst announced a pair of promotions in the team's front office on Tuesday, according to a release.

Richmond Williams was promoted to director of pro personnel and Brett Thiesen to college scout.

Williams is entering his 12th season in Green Bay after serving as a scout at the professional and collegiate level for each of the past seven seasons. According to the release, he was the Packers' National Football Scouting Representative to the annual NFL Scouting Combine and evaluated senior prospects in the southwest region.

Thiesen first became a scouting intern with the Packers in 2018 with a background in evaluating high-school prospects. He also has a background playing as a wide receiver for the University of Kentucky and Troy University. He'll be one of seven college scouts on the Packers' personnel staff.

Thiesen’s a real mover. Since graduating in 2015, been at Miss. St, Miami, Liberty, Tennessee, and then joined Pack last year. This guy can network like Davante can run routes.
