Packers Daily: Varying The Tempo
The Packers offense could keep defenses off balance by changing up their tempo not just at the line of scrimmage but also getting in and out of the huddle.

Packers are slow to get the ball snapped because of poor coaching or because of Jordan love

I remember reading at least one, maybe more, articles when MLF first installed his offense that talked about how "clunky" the Shanahan-style offensive PLAY CALLS were. i.e. that the calls themselves take WAY, WAY, WAY too much time to call out (many numbers, words, per play call) and that that would be an issue for "Up Tempo" playing. If I recall (WCBW) there was some sort of article a few years ago about a "shortened" code between MLF & Love to move up tempo but Love would still have to call out the longer version in the huddle. Anyone else remember this or have a link to such an article?

Varying the tempo never dawned on MLF . Packers rarely do it despite the obvious benefits especially to stalling offenses in the second half of games . Another example of poor coaching .
