Packers activate Ibraheim Campbell from PUP
The safety could help bring some toughness to a defense in desperate need of it.

The Packers are getting some reinforcement in the secondary.
The Packers have waived LB Tim Williams and activated DB Ibraheim Campbell from PUP, per source.

Campbell was by far the best tackling member of the secondary last season prior to suffering an ACL injury. Hopefully he can give Mike Pettine's group a jolt.
Campbell rejoined the Packers during training camp and was placed on reserve/physically unable to perform on Sept. 3. He saw action in three games for the Packers last season, including one start. Campbell registered 20 tackles (16 solo), a forced fumble and a pass defensed before being placed on injured reserve (knee) on Dec. 4th of 2018.
To make room for Campbell, the Packers waived outside linebacker Tim Williams.

Hope the knee is at least 95% of what it was, and he plays like last year. It would be a boost to the defense. My apologies to Tim Williams for not realizing he was on the team.

I look forward to seeing improvement on defense with Campbell’s return. The middle of the field ought to be more tightly contested. Gute has his work cut out for him addressing ILBs in the offseason.

I hope Campbell is ready to play. It wouldn't be surprising if he is on a snap count since he is coming back from an ACL. I've seen enough of Redmond at hybrid ILB (I don't hate Redmond and think he is okay as a backup FS).

Anything that helps to get this defense off the field is a welcome addition.
