Appeasement of Rodgers was the reason for not pushing the up tempo, get to the line and call the play, kind of offense. One has to wonder if 'Rodgers taking his time and running the play clock to 1, while trying to figure out what the defense has planned, gives defenses time to figure out what we're going to do, as well. LeFleur said they'd work on up tempo next season, when reporters asked him about it mid season this year. W...T....F. Next season ????? I heard an interview before the 49s playoff game. Rodgers was asked about the success of LeFleurs new offense. He responded by saying it was more a combination of LeFleur's new offense, and his 16 yrs of experience as a QB. TRANSLATION: I'm still running the show. Usually, when he's asked about what he thinks of LeFleur, he praises him for giving the players more control. In other words, thanks for staying out of my way.
