I love NFLGTV. COM , and it is certainly cheaper than a cable box. I have my one favorite channel (A&E) which is on 98% of the time. Everything is working well,

Why does the NFL insist they're for Player Safety and then they allow Barnett and the other Philly Thugs to get away with PI, and hurting a defenseless Player???? Now the NFL has ruled no harm to foul for Barnett's hit which was late and Helmet to Helmet. The Game Officials don't deserve their Pay-Checks as they were PATHETIC and totally against the Packers!!!! The NFL is not only not consistent when it comes to hiring Game Officials who actually know how to Officiate a Game. Letting Barnett and the rest of the Philadelphia Eglets do whatever they want on the Field says they weren't doing their Jobs yet the NFL doesn't hold them accountable!!!!! I used to respect Doug Peterson and Jim Schwartz but now as far as I'm concerned they're just more NFL TRASH!!!! My only regret is I don't get to say this to the Philadelphia THUGS/CRIMINALS/CHEATERS!!!!!! Its time for the NFL to either say its ok for Defensive Backs to interfere with Receivers while running their Routes or we will penalize you because our Officials will be held accountable for Officiating the Game impartially. What we saw Thursday Night was NOT impartial, it stank of NFL just trying to keep a Fan Base(Philadelphia's) from giving up and since they know Packers Fans are die-hard Fans they use that to Market themselves. Its time that Goodell and the NFL Officiating Bosses get their ACT Together!!!!!!!

Nothing will happen with officiating until the NFL hires full time Referees which they refuse to do. I mean, so they screw up calls and get fired. They just go back to their regular job that they have all week. Officiating is a sideline gig for them. They do not care if they are fired.

Not to mention look at the facemask penalty on Philly when they grabbed Adams mask,
if you look closely Barnett was aiming for Adams helmet and the pull of the mask took Adams helmet away from the contact.

I cringed looking at the replay knowing it was so close to another head hit.

Nfl doesn't give a crap about players, just lawsuits.

I don't think the players respect opponents they try to take their heads off and when they are laying on the ground start kneeling. I guarantee you its not the same in their locker room when no cameras are around.
Headhunters hurt the league, just look at Burfict, and these teams just keep paying them MILLIONS of DOLLARS.

"Jamaal Wiliams was hit with the shoulder." Why would you say that ? Are you Barnett's agent or something......

Just go and watch it again, it cannot be clearer that it is helmet to helmet, and a hit hard enough that you can actually see Jamaal's helmet deform with the hit.

That may or may not have been a double team designed to knock him out of the game, it's hard to know what the D lineman holding him was thinking, but Barnett's hit was illegal and certainly looked malicious. I have less problems with a defender trying to lay his hat on the ball to knock it out, but the refs cannot allow this to happen to a defenceless ball carrier, and helmet to helmet stuff is not allowed (and it was not an attempt by Barnett to hit the ball, which was held over a foot lower at Jamaal's waist).

This was a long way away from anything that could be argued as a "Hit with the shoulder and heads bang a bit"......a long, long way away from that. Since Jamaal was essentially motionless, Barnett cannot even claim it was an accidental hit.

This is in the ballpark of Washington's Merriweather a year or two back when he knocked one Packers RB out out of the game (with a helmet to helmet hit) and tried to do it to another, where he accidentally knocked himself silly going for the second kill-shot. This was ILLEGAL and MALICIOUS, and I hate seeing it portrayed in any other way, or minimising what it was. As the best pass blocker, Williams loss had a real effect on the game even discounting his running the ball.

Bear in mind this came immediately after another helmet tp helmet hit on Shepherd, who was fielding a kick. In that case he could have just as easily been knocked flying with a shoulder charge, nasty, but perfectly legal. Instead it was another helmet to helmet that wasn't even called.

There is nothing wrong with setting a tone early and trying to send a message with hard hits, but not the head to head stuff which has no place in football.

The only way to stop that kind of trying-to-injure hit is ejection + fine + a ban for 'x' games.

To add onto all of this, a Philly defender got knocked out of the game when... wait for it... one of his own teammates absolutely speared him with a vicious helmet to helmet hit. There were also some uncalled tackles that were essentially grabbing the player by the head/neck and wrenching.

Schwartz no longer gets the benefit of the doubt he may have received when he was on the Lions and Suh would eye gouge players, stomp on them when they're down, etc. This type of play reeks of a certain kind of culture in defensive coaching (the kind that got Payton suspended from football for a year), and should absolutely warrant further investigation and scrutiny.

Barnett targeted Williams with his head should have been an ejection , fine and maybe a suspension to send a message , yet Clark pushes down Weintz after throwing a pass and they are quick to call personal foul, these refs altered the outcome of the game.

The Clark hit was avoidable and was the correct call. The issue is, as you mentioned, Barnett continuing to play and being able to continue delivering dirty hits, faskmask tackles, etc.

I'm honestly thankful this game didn't devolve into a Bengals-Steelers type matchup of retaliatory hits. If I were a Packers receiver that just got tackled by the head/neck without a flag (and there were a few that didn't get called), in the heat of the moment, I would have used the next play to voice my displeasure.

And Barnett hasn't even been fined for that hit on Williams. Why hasn't more come from the Packers about this
situation or even from the Packers sportswriters. It's just forgotten. Something smells.
